4 oz. breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
Little grated lemon rind (finely chopped)
1-2 oz. suet, or hard dripping or butter rubbed in
1 teaspoon dried herbs (thyme, etc.)
1 egg for mixing.
Mix all the ingredients, adding the egg (or milk) last. The mixture should be of a moist, crumbling consistency when finished.
